June 21st: the first day of summer and a perfect 75-and-sunny New England wedding day! This time cousin Kristin tied the knot with Brian! The bride: an Irish vision. Gram would be so proud!
As a seasoned bridesmaid the Hamel-Haggerty wedding was much more relaxing, esp. knowing I didn’t have toasting duties at the end of the day! Just 2/27ths to Katherine Heigl.
Wedding day hair and makeup occupied our morning, then it was time for photos. What a crew!
(So many cousins!)
The ceremony was beautiful! From my extensive wedding experience, I’m not sure if there’s ever a dry eye at the father-groom hand-off. Thankfully everyone (even Papa!) held it together for “Hams” to become a “Haggs”!
After a brief bit of mingling the celebration continued at the golf club. What better time to take a pic with Nance?!
Had to steal one with the bride!
Dessert: phenomenal. After a mini cake cutting guests were guided to the patio for the beignet spread! I might have tried a few melt-in-your-mouth desserts. Amazing.
Then came the official dance party. The DJ started us off with “We Are Family“: how fitting! Everyone was shredding the floor too quickly to snap every move; thankfully we captured Jen and Steve’s magical twirl!
What a wonderful celebration! I still can’t believe spring wedding duties are complete, though. It might be time for another Hooley cousin to pop the question… no pressure at all.
